Top Dog Friendly Hotel in Scotland
We are a dog friendly hotel and have found over the years that happy dogs make happy guests, however we do need to know in advance if you are bringing a dog as not all areas are pet friendly. Cottages (Stables, Walled Garden, Roselea) are dog friendly with fenced gardens (fenced does not mean sealed!). If you are staying in a room you must let us know as not all rooms can accommodate dogs. Our dog friendly rooms are on the ground floor with no carpet. We have stringent hygiene protocol in place (all public areas mop-steamed several time a day, all rooms mop steamed and sanitised. Wooden or stone floor only).
Good to know:
Dogs are welcome in the pub restaurant and we have fresh water for them at all time. Like with our human customers we expect furry guests to be appropriately well behaved and reasonably tidy (we have doggy/muddy boots hoses at the cottages and at the hotel and doggy towels if required). If your dog is on the large size, bear in mind that they might not be comfortable under a table in close vicinity of other guests.
House Rule:
To avoid disappointment it is very important that you let us know if you are bringing a dog and you need to receive confirmation from us. While we are dog friendly and love dogs there is a maximum number of dogs that can be allowed in our premises. You can let us know by email or by phone. While this is a situation we all want to avoid we reserve the right to cancel your booking if you don’t let us know 48h in advance. Thank you for your understanding. If you need a pet-sitter or dog walker we recommended the fully accredited local business Blairgowrie Walkies. Please note that dogs are not allowed on beds or soft furnishing.
Cost:
If you have booked your accommodation directly with us, dogs can stay for free. If you have booked via a third party there will be a £15 charge per dog per night. We reserve the right to invoice for extra cleaning or damage, especially if dogs were left alone in accommodation or allowed on furnishing and beds.
Walks and leads:
There are wonderful walks round the estate for you and you furry friends: the North Wood next to the hotel, the river Tay path with its pebble beach by the Stable cottages… just ask a member of staff. Most of the river bank we own and manage is part of a protected wildlife scheme: make sure that your dog is under control at all time especially during ground bird nesting season (May to July). Be mindful of salmon anglers (fishing lures are sharp) and of the horses and hens in the field near the Stables.
Things to Do
Fairytale castles, superb golf courses, magical walks are at our doorsteps plus our very own salmon fishing on the river Tay. More...
